The 28-member Bangladesh contingent, comprising 19 players and nine officials, left for Assam Friday. It should be mentioned that ever since the game of baseball was introduced in Bangladesh in 2006, the country has not taken part in any international tournament. On the eve of their game, Bangladesh coach Talha Jubair said, “We were supposed to play India in our opening match [Monday]. The fixture though has been changed. We will face India Thursday. Everyone is fit and raring to go. They are practising hard. They are all ready.”
