Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy set up a final clash with each other in the Independence Day Basketball Tournament after winning their respective semi-finals at Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium in Dhaka Thursday.
Bangladesh Navy outplayed Shaon's Club by 84-58 points after leading the first half 44-30 in the first semi-final. National player Soyeb caged highest 20 points for the winner while Bappy and Jamil added 12 and 10 points respectively. Saiful scored 17 points for the losing side.
In the second semi-final, Bangladesh Army handed Border Guard Bangladesh a comfortable defeat of 63-44 points after the first half ended 32-20. Abul and Amanot scored 16 and 15 points respectively for Bangladesh Army while Zia and Shahanoor caged 11 and 10 points respectively for the BGB.
The final will be held at the same venue Friday at 9:30am.
