BCB president Nazmul Hasan pledged to provide financial support to the Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation for the appointment of any foreign coach for the national team.
Having been present in the inaugural ceremony of the Premier Kabaddi League as chief guest at National Kabaddi Stadium Monday, the BCB boss promised to extend their supporting hand for the development of the country's national sport kabaddi.
"The BCB has the capacity to support other sports federations," said the BCB chief adding, "If kabaddi federation needs any support to develop the game we will consider it. If they appoint any foreign coach then we would give them financial support."
Meanwhile after a gap of three years, the PKL began with the participation of 12 teams. The event will not be held in accordance with the league system, rather, by the tournament format as the teams have been split into four groups for the group stage.
The participating teams are - Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Jail, Fire Service, Border Guard Bangladesh, Dhaka Wanderers Club, Institute of Kabaddi, Shaheed Mozaffar Smrity Sangsad, Azad Sporting Club, Matuail Milon Smrity Sangsad and Maniknagar Kabaddi Club.
