Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Police will lock horns in the inaugural day of the competition, while Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Air Force will also face each other in the other game of the opening day.
The tournament will be played in accordance with the league system, and the top two teams in the standing will take on each other in the final.
The details of the tournament were announced in a press conference at the conference room of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation in Dhaka Sunday.
There will be no draws in the competition.
In the event of a draw, a particular game will head straight into the shootout.
The winning team in a shootout will get two points while the losing side will receive one point.
The first game will take place at 3pm while the second match will begin at 5:30pm.
The tournament was established in 1981, but only 12 other editions took place in the following 37 years.
Social Islami Bank will sponsor the current edition for Tk3 lakhs.
