Krishna Rani Sarkar slammed four goals while Sabina Khatun netted another treble as favourites Bashundhara Kings strolled to a massive 12-1 victory over Spartan MK Gallactico in their eighth match of the Women’s Football League in Dhaka on Tuesday.

With the goals coming in the 11th, 21st and 42nd minute, Sabina, all-time leading top scorer of the country, stays distantly at the top of the list of scorers with 21 goals from eight matches.
Krishna opened the scoring in the 39th minute before adding three more in the 52nd, 78th and 81st minute to take her total tally to 15 goals to stay behind only Sabina.
Midfielder Mishrat Jahan Moushumi scored twice within twenty minutes while Tohura Khatun, Sheuli Azim and Maria Manda netted one each to thrash the Spartan. Moni Begum came off the bench to score a consolation for Sylhet outfit that remained at bottom of the table with a single point.
It was Bashundhara’s eighth consecutive victory as well. They are leading the seven-team points table with maximum 24 points, three more than Nasrin Sports Academy, who beat Begam Anwara Sporting Club 3-1 on the same day.
Three youth national team members Anuching Mogini, Ritu Porna Chakma and Shohagi Kisku scored one each for Nasrin.
Bashundhara will face Nasrin in their next game on Friday and a win would almost settle their maiden title in the debut participation in the league which returned after a gap of seven years.
