The expatriate footballer however is not content with the levels of fitness of the teammates
Bangladesh national team captain Jamal Bhuiyan is determined to beat Nepal in the upcoming Fifa friendly. He said that they will be hungry to win regardless of what the fitness level would be due to lack of preparation time.
“I don’t know about their [Nepal] fitness level whether they are like us or better than us at the moment but on the 13th [November] you will see a Bangladesh team which is hungry and wants to win because if not, all the guys will keep talking, ‘hey you lose’.” said Jamal.
The Saif Sporting Limited midfielder spoke to media at today’s national team practice venue of Bangabandhu National Stadium after joining the camp two days earlier. He added, “It’s in the players’ minds that we want to win that match. We have to win.”
The expatriate footballer however is not content with the levels of fitness of the teammates due to long break for Covid-19. He pledges to work harder to achieve the best possible shape.
“Honestly the team is not fully fit. We played practice match today but a lot of players are struggling. We have to work harder. We have to do more running and only then we can achieve fitness because we are practicing and playing after long time.”
“At the moment Bashundhara Kings players are little bit more fit. They trained with the team while other teams have not started practice so they have an advantage. Others practiced individually and it’s different. They will be fitter in the coming days.”
The Men in Red and Green are taking preparation for the two international friendlies scheduled on November 13 and 17 at the BNS during the upcoming FIFA Window.
