Saif Sporting Club midfielder was staying with his teammates in Mirpur
Jamal Bhuiyan, the national male football team captain, flew for Denmark to spend the rest of the corona days with his family after the Bangladesh Premier League is postponed for an indefinite period.
Saif Sporting Club midfielder was staying with his teammates in Mirpur but soon after the club released its local players, he packed his bags, purchased plane ticket of his own and leave for Copenhagen through Thai Airways.
Jamal rejoined his parents in Denmark where he was born in 1990.
“I managed to talk to him for few seconds. He informed about his arrival in Denmark. He flew to Thailand first [transit] before heading toward Copenhagen.” said Saif Mahbub, the media manager of the club, on Wednesday.
Mahbub also informed that Jamal caught the same flight of Mohammedan’s English coach Sean Lane who was also headed back his home.
The Saif Sporting skipper earlier expressed his desire to spend times with family members in the days of corona amid the travel restrictions around the world Denmark temporally closed its borders for non-citizens on March 13 but it is not applicable for the Danish citizens who are able to enter the country. Jamal has both Bangladesh and Danish passports.
