Holders South Korea sealed the second edition of the Embassy Cup Football as they beat Saudi Arabia 5-4 in the tie-breaker at the Armed Police Battalion field in Uttara’s sector two Saturday.
The final’s stipulated time ended 1-1 before the match went into penalties.
In the first half, the Koreans led by one goal while Saudi Arabia’s captain equalized at the start of the second half.
During the tie-breaker, the two teams fought with their heart and soul as they netted all four out of the first five shots.

Then in the sudden death, Korea won 5-4 to lift the silverware.
South Korea’s goalkeeper received the Golden Gloves while Saudi’s Arabia’s jersey No 10 player Saad al Bigini grabbed the Golden Boot with half a dozen goals.
Only woman player in the tournament, Johanna Johnson from Swedish Embassy clinched the Golden Ball.
The two-day long tournament stared Friday with the participation of 16 embassy teams.
