Brothers Union got three crucial points in the Bangladesh Premier League as they beat Team BJMC by 2-0 in at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Brothers, which were regarded as one of the powerhouses of local football once, have been facing the relegation threat as they were in the 12th spot in the 13-team league with 18 points from 22 matches before the match.
But the crucial victory against BJMC, who are already relegated, the Gopibag-based club has now leapfrogged to 10th position, sitting above NoFel Sporting Club (19 points) and Rahmatganj MFS (21 points) in the points table with one match to go.
