Fading local giant Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited registered two consecutive victories in the Bangladesh Premier League for the first time this season as they edged Arambagh Krira Sangha 1-0 at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Saturday.

Toklis Ahmed bagged the all-important winner in the 16th minute as Mohammedan rose to 10th position in the 13-team points table.

The Black and Whites have 12 points from 14 matches while Arambagh are fifth with 19 points from the same number of outings as Mohammedan.

The tie was pushed back by a day Friday at the same venue after heavy rainfall caused havoc, forcing the game to be called off after the third minute.

The match resumed from the fourth minute Saturday as Mohammedan completed their second win in a row after beating BJMC 3-1 last week.
