The match will commence at 5:45pm local time.

A confident Abahani Limited side will be eager to continue their winning run in the AFC Cup 2019 as they are set to take on Indian Club Minerva Punjab at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.

The match will commence at 5:45pm local time.

Abahani made their best AFC Cup start this year as they beat Manang Marshayangdi in the first match of their campaign on April 3 at ANFA Complex, Kathmandhu, Nepal.

And with that away win in the bag, the Bangladeshi side will be keen to keep their 100 percent record by winning at home.

Abahani’s Portugese coach Mario Lemos was confident of getting all three points from the crucial encounter and enhance their chances of qualifying to the next round.

“We want to win full three points by playing well,” said Lemos at a pre-match press conference at the Bangladesh Football Federation office on Tuesday afternoon.

Shahidul Alam Sohel, the goalkeeper and the captain of the side also stated their confidence on the occasion.

But Minerva, who drew their first match against another Indian side Chennaiyan, is also confident of winning the game.

“We came here to get three points,” said Minerva coach Sachin Badadhe.
