The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association Cup Football Tournament’s fourth edition will get underway on February 14 this year.
A total of 15 teams divided into three groups will take part in the event that will be held at International Hope School Bangladesh’s astro turf in Uttara, Dhaka.
The participating teams are Comfit Composit Knit, Bando Design, Self Innovative Fashions, Fortis Group, Apparel Industry, Mask Group, Versatile Apparel, Versatile Fashions, Umpire Garments, Layla Styles, Sterling Group, Ali Garments, Epyllion, Tusuka Group and Torque Fashion.
The final will be held on March 1 at Bangladesh Army Stadium and will be telecast live on Channel 9.
The details of the tournament were announced in a press conference Saturday afternoon at BGMEA Bhaban in the presence of BGMEA president Siddikur Rahman, vice president (Finance) Mohammad Nasir, senior vice president Faruk Hasan and BEUFT chairman Mozaffar Siddik.
The tournament will be sponsored by BUFT, Layla Group, Sailor By Epyllion, Shahjalal Islami Bank, Dhaka Bank and Islami Bank.
