Chittagong Abahani Limited edged Brothers Union 3-2 in a Bangladesh Premier League thriller at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Friday.
The port city outfit went ahead in the 12th minute through an own goal.
Brothers midfielder Shafiqul Islam Shafi put through his own net while trying to clear a corner from Chittagong Abahani midfielder Kaushik Barua.
The Oranges though soon equalised in the 34th minute when midfielder Mannaf Rabby poked home from a header from Brazilian forward Leonardo Lima after a free-kick by defender Khan Mohammad Tara.
Chittagong Abahani again went ahead in the beginning of the second half when Gambian midfielder Momodu Bah beat Brothers goalkeeper Sujon Chowdhury following a header from Nigerian forward Magalan Awala.

Brothers then reduced the arrears eight minutes later when Leonardo scored from the penalty spot after a handball inside the box from Nigerian defender Mufta Lawal.
Chittagong Abahani could have extended their lead once again in the 74th minute but Bah’s shot struck the crossbar.
