The top two teams will get promoted to the Bangladesh Premier League, while the bottom two sides will get demoted to the First Division League
The 11 clubs completed the player signings formalities, ahead of the seventh edition of the Bangladesh Championship League, scheduled to get underway on February 10.
The 11 teams who will compete in the second tier are Farashganj Sporting, Victoria Sporting, Young Men’s Fakirerpool Club, T&T Club, Uttar Baridhara, Police Football Club, Feni Soccer, Agrani Bank Limited Sports Club, Swadhinota Krira Chakra, Wari Club and Dhaka City FC.
Swadhinota got promoted to the second tier after emerging as the champion in the First Division League, while Wari finished as the runners-up.
Newcomer Dhaka City will contest their first ever season in the second tier this season.
The new season of the second tier will not have any foreign players.
