The appeal committee of the BFF has reduced the suspension of Bashundhara Kings duo Sushanta Tripura and Tawhidul Alam Sabuj and Abahani Limited defender Mamun Miah through a meeting at BFF House in Dhaka Wednesday.

Defender Sushanta’s eight-match ban was reduced to six matches, while the six-game suspensions of both Sabuj and Mamun were reduced by one game.

The fines of Tk 100,000 for Sushanta and Tk 50,000 for Sabuj and Mamun however, remained unchanged.

The committee chaired by Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, rejected Abahani striker Nabib Newaj Jibon’s appeal for his two-match ban.

Jibon however, already served his suspension through Abahani’s two group-round matches in the Independence Cup, and will be available for selection for their quarter-final against Saif Sporting Club Thursday.

Earlier, Abahani and Bashundhara players got engaged in a fight during the final of the Federation Cup last month that saw two players from each side receive straight red cards.
