Cyprus will start off as favourite in the meeting as they have had the best preparation among the participating countries
Bangladesh U-15 boys team will face European side Cyprus in their opening match of the Uefa funded four-nation football tournament in Thailand Monday.
The game kicks off at Chang Arena Stadium in Buriram at 3pm, Bangladesh standard time.
Cyprus will start off as favourite in the meeting as they have had the best preparation among the participating countries.
They have been in the development programme for the last three years, and participated in five tournaments over the last six months.
Bangladesh booters, on the other hand, had their first international experience during their title winning campaign at the Saff U-15 Championship in Nepal last month.

Head coach Mostafa Anwar Parvez Babu took his side’s participation as a learning experience for the boys.
“Cyprus are a strong European side and played some tournaments before coming here. We are looking forward to enjoying our game and will try to learn new things from this prestigious tournament,” said Parvez Sunday.
Bangladesh will take on host Thailand in the second match of the men’s competition Wednesday before facing Maldives Friday.
Thailand also had better preparation than Bangladesh as they toured Myanmar and China ahead of the mini competition.
