Bangladesh rose two places from 194th to 192nd after the update of the latest Fifa ranking Thursday.

This is the men in red and green’s best position this year, despite not playing a single friendly or competitive game in November. They started the year at 197th and stayed there for five months. In June, they jumped to 194th.

Bangladesh are ahead of Pakistan (199th) and Sri Lanka (201st) in south Asia. As far as the AFC zone is concerned, the Bengal Tigers are 42nd, while Iran (29th) are the best Asian side.

Belgium remain at the summit while World Cup champion France are second.

Bangladesh enjoyed their best ever ranking in 1993 when they rose as high as 116th in August.
