BFF calls four-day U-23 camp

The Bangladesh Football Federation Saturday announced a 24-man preliminary U-23 national squad for a short four-day long residential training camp in Dhaka, ahead of the AFC U-23 Championship 2020 qualifiers, scheduled for March 22 to 26 next year.

The camp was called after the BFF’s plan to arrange a friendly for the national team during the Fifa international window (November 12 to 20) was scrapped last week.

The players have been asked to report to team manager Satyajit Das Rupu at a city hotel Sunday night. 

The camp will continue till November 15.

The players were selected based on their performance in the Federation Cup, informed national team head coach Jamie Day after the squad was revealed.

Highest seven players each from two big-spending outfits Bashundhara Kings and Saif Sporting Club have been included in the squad, along with five from Arambagh Krira Sangha, two each from Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra and Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and one from Abahani Limited.
