Defender Nasir Uddin Chowdhury received a setback ahead of the start of the upcoming season as he was served an ultimatum by the BFF’s player status committee.

The veteran Bangladesh footballer transferred from Abahani Limited to Bashundhara Kings this season but the former are claiming that Nasir had already taken Tk3 lakhs as advance payment.

Nasir, who moved to the Kings for Tk50 lakhs remuneration, must now answer to football’s governing body of the country by three days regarding Abahani’s claim.

If Nasir, who won the Federation Cup and the premier league last season, fails to reach a common point with the Sky Blues, then he will be suspended for a year in accordance with article 26.8 of the BFF’s by-laws.
