Masud Rana set to attain Guinness World Record

The Guinness Book of World Records set a timing of one minute for Masud Rana to attain the record; however he completed his effort in 44.95s.

Masud Rana, a swimmer from Magura, attempted a new Guinness World Record by swimming 50m with a football balanced on his head at Syed Nazrul Islam National Swimming Complex, Mirpur in Dhaka Thursday.

The Guinness Book of World Records set a timing of one minute for Masud to attain the record; however he completed his effort in 44.95s.

The evidence of his record attempt including the video and other required documents will be sent to London for the official acknowledgement shortly.

Shajia Afrin, the administrator of Syed Nazrul Islam National Swimming Complex and Lt. Commander SN Mahadi al Hasan of Bangladesh Navy, the Camp Commander of National Talent Hunt Programme of Bangladesh Navy were present as the prime witnesses.
