FC Cincinnati continued to build toward its first MLS season with another signing on Wednesday.

Having already landed Fanendo Adi from the Portland Timbers as the club's first designated player, the club moved to add Swedish defender Pa Konate on loan from Serie A side S.P.A.L.

While the side will not begin play in MLS until 2019, the 24-year-old, like Adi, will close the 2018 campaign in the second tier of U.S. soccer with FCC's USL side. The year-long loan will also require Cincy to either buy the defender or extend his loan for him to finish the 2019 season with the club.
