Barcelona hold secret talks with Pogba

Man United ace wanted by Camp Nou side

Barcelona have met with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to discuss a possible transfer, according to Tuttosport.

The World Cup winner is said to have met with technical secretary Eric Abidal in LA a few days ago.

Pogba has reportedly indicated that he wants to leave Old Trafford but United are in a position of strength as their player is under contract until 2021.

Abidal, meanwhile, was hired to allow the club to make more headway in the French transfer market. 

Man Utd eye Zidane as Mourinho replacement

Manchester United are planning for life after Jose Mourinho by placing Zinedine Zidane at the head of a shortlist to replace the Portuguese, according to the Sun.

Mourinho has notoriously struggled in his third season at previous clubs and the Red Devils are already preparing for that eventuality this time around.

Zidane is a free agent after leaving Madrid at the end of last term, having won three straight Champions League titles at the Bernabeu.

Lazio will consider 'indecent' offers for Milinkovic-Savic

Lazio president Claudio Lotito said he never put star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic up for sale, though he would consider "indecent offers".

Milinkovic-Savic, 23, has been linked with Serie A holders Juventus, Champions League winners Real Madrid and Premier League giants Manchester United.

Martial's Man Utd future in even greater doubt

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has increased speculation over the future of attacker Anthony Martial by failing to give a straight answer over the player's future.

When quizzed over the France international following Tuesday's ICC win over Real Madrid, the Portuguese simply referred the question to the club's press officer.

Hernandez returns to FC Dallas

Moises Hernandez has returned to FC Dallas after the club announced that they had brought their former academy standout back to the club. 

The defender returns after two seasons with Guatemalan power Comunicaciones.

Paris Saint-Germain are not giving up their chase of Chelsea star N’Golo Kante, the Mirror reports. 

The Blues have offered the midfielder a deal that will make him the best paid player on their squad, but PSG have the money to top that offer. 

Having won the World Cup with France this summer, Kante has also been the Ligue 1 giant's top target since they brought manager Thomas Tuchel on board, even though the Premier League outfit are desperate to keep him. 

Nantes lead chase for Chelsea's Miazga

Ligue 1 side Nantes are the leaders in the chase to sign USMNT defender Matt Miazga from Chelsea, according to Foot Mercato

Caen are also in the race for the defender who has been spent the majority of his time on loan to Vitesse in Netherlands since joining the Blues. 

Gladbach put €20m pricetag on Hazard

Borussia Monchengladbach have put a €20 million (£18m/$23m) price on Thorgan Hazard, according to Foot Mercato

Sevilla and Roma are both keeping tabs on the midfielder, though the Bundesliga side claim to have done their transfer business already and are in no need to offload another player. 

Villa want Chelsea's Abraham on loan

Aston Villa want to add Chelsea's Tammy Abraham on loan for the season, but the forward would like to stay in the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail

The 20-year-old spent last season with Swansea and would like to spend this season at a club in the top-flight as well, though his scoring cooled later in the season and he may need the step down in class to find his finishing boots again. 

Inter approach Luka Modric

Inter are targeting a move for Real Madrid star Luka Modric this summer, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The Serie A side have made contact with the midfielder's agent already and he discussed a potential move with Croatia team-mates and Inter players Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic during the World Cup.

As a result of their interest in Modric, the Nerazzurri are holding back on their pursuit of Arturo Vidal.

Real Madrid approached Kane & Salah

Spanish giants have made contact with Premier League stars

Real Madrid have made approaches for Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane during this transfer window, claims El Pais.

After the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo, the end of their pursuit of Eden Hazard and having to deny approaches for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, the European champions are looking for more star attackers to strengthen their attack.

Madrid sounded out Salah and Kane through intermediaries, but the Liverpool star is happy and committed to Liverpool after signing a new contract, while Kane was indifferent towards the Santiago Bernabeu team.

Valencia target Batshuayi

Valencia are interested in signing Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea, The Mirrorreports.

After impressing on loan at Borussia Dortmund, the Belgian striker is willing to leave Chelsea to secure regular first-team football and Valencia hope they can lure him with the promise of playing in the Champions League.

Emery must sell before Arsenal will sign N'Zonzi

Unai Emery is determined to bring Steven N'Zonzi to Arsenal, but has been told he will have to sell players before the club will sanction a move, says The Daily Mail.

The Spanish coach has already recruited Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi this summer, using up most of his transfer budget.

The coach sees World Cup winner N'Zonzi as an ideal signing but a few of his current crop must be offloaded first.

Witsel nears €20m Dortmund move

Axel Witsel is close to joining Borussia Dortmund in a €20 million move from Tianjin Quanjian, Marca claims.

The Belgian midfielder had a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave the Chinese club for that price and is set to end his adventure in the Super League after 18 months.
