Despite being formed only 16 months ago, Bangladesh top-flight outfit Saif Sporting Club will take part in the prestigious 2018 AFC Cup, alongside Abahani Limited.
Saif Sporting will conclude their Bangladesh Premier League campaign next Thursday, following which they will begin their preparation for the AFC Cup, equivalent of Europe's Uefa Europa League.
After the league is over, Saif Sporting players will enjoy a four-day break. They will then be part of the residential camp at BKSP, starting January 16.
Saif Sporting will play their first match of the preliminary stage against TC Sports Club of Maldives at Bangabandhu National Stadium on January 23.
The return leg of the tie will be held on January 30 in Male.
If Saif Sporting overcome the challenge, they will then face the winner of the tie between India's Bengaluru FC and Bhutan's Transport United in a two-legged playoff on February 13 and 20.
If Saif Sporting do make it, they will be up against Abahani in Group E, also comprising two other teams.
