Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited missed the chance to go top of the Bangladesh Premier League points table after being held to a 1-1 draw by Saif Sporting Club in their 19th round match at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Wednesday. English striker Charlie Sheringham opened the scoring for Saif Sporting in the sixth minute after being set up by Mohammed Rahmat Mia. Gambian Solomon King however, soon brought parity in the 22nd minute as both the sides had to be content with a share of the spoils. In the other game of the day at the same venue, Arambagh Krira Sangha and Farashganj Sporting Club played out a 1-1 draw. In what turned out to be a thriller, Nigerian Alamli Bukola gave Armbagh the lead in the seventh minute of injury time from the penalty spot. Mohammad Sujon though equalised in the 12th minute of time added on. Sheikh Jamal are now second in the standing with 44 points from 19 matches, one behind table-topper Dhaka Abahani Limited, while Saif Sporting are fourth with 35 points from 19 games. Arambagh, meanwhile, are ninth with 16 points from 19 matches while Farashganj are second bottom with 14 points from 19 games.
