Congolese forward Siyo Zunapio came off the bench in the second half to score the all-important goal for Brothers in the 76th minute, which earned the club their second win in the league. The three points helped the Gopibagh outfit move four points clear of bottom-side Farashganj Sporting Club as they are now 10th with 10 points from 13 games. Sheikh Russell, who tasted their first defeat after seven games, remained fifth with 19 points.
Mahbub Hossain Roksy began his professional club career as head coach with a comfortable win as Sheikh Jamal registered their third consecutive victory. Nigerian forward Raphael Onwrebe netted a brace, scoring in the 53rd and 61st minute while Gambian forward Solomon Kanform sealed the win in the 82nd minute.
