Bangladesh will face host Tajikistan in their opening match of the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers in Hisor Tuesday.
The game begins at 6pm, Bangladesh standard time.
The junior Bengal Tigers have been placed in Group B, alongside the home side, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
The 10 group winners, along with the five best runners-up sides, will qualify for the final round of the tournament, scheduled for next year in Indonesia.
Indonesia have already qualified for the competition by virtue of being the host.
Ahead of the match, Bangladesh captain Tutul Hossain Badshah said, “In this tournament our main aim is to use the experience we gained in Bhutan during the Saff U-19 Championship. We want to do well. The team combination is so far very good, which will be very useful. We want the support and blessing from everyone.”
The Bangladesh youngsters will take on Maldives, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka Thursday, Monday and next Wednesday respectively.
