The draw for the AFC U-16 Championship 2018 Qualifiers was also held at the same place where Bangladesh were pitted against the UAE, Yemen and Qatar in Group E (west zone).
Bangladesh U-16 will face the UAE in their first match on September 20 this year before taking on Yemen and host Qatar on September 22 and 24 respectively. Qatar will host the group stage matches but the venues have not been finalised yet.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh U-19 will play their inaugural Group B match against host Tajikistan on October 31 before facing Maldives, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka on November 2, 6 and 8 respectively. The venues are yet to be decided.
A total of 43 countries from Asia and Oceania/Australia, categorised by west and east zones, will take part in the U-19 Qualifiers. The teams have been split into 10 groups.
In the U-16 Qualifiers, a total of 45 teams have been drawn in 10 groups.
The 10 group winners and five best runners-up sides will qualify for the final round of the tournament, along with the host nation.
