Team BJMC registered only their third victory in the Bangladesh Premier League when they edged Muktijoddha 3-2 at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
Eleta Kingsley, Samson Illiasu and Zakir Hossain all netted one apiece in the second half to give BJMC a 3-0 lead and although Javed Khan and Ahmed Kolo Musa scored in the dying stages of the game, it was too little, too late for Muktijoddha.
BJMC are now eighth in the points table with 14 points from 12 matches while Muktijoddha are fifth with 18 points from the same number of outings.
Meanwhile in the other game of the day at the same venue, Brothers Union beat Feni Soccer Club 3-1 with Kingsley Nkwocha bagging a brace, the second from the penalty spot, and Augustin Walson grabbing the other.
Chowmin Rakhain notched the consolation goal seven minutes from the final whistle.
Brothers are seventh with 14 points while Soccer Club are third from bottom with nine points, both having played 12 matches apiece.
