This is the seventh ODI in a row that the Tigers have defeated the Caribbean side
The second ODI followed a somewhat similar script to the first ODI as Bangladesh dominated both the games to seal the series at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Friday after their seven-wicket win over visitors West Indies.
This is the seventh ODI in a row that the Tigers have defeated the Caribbean side.
Chasing a below-par total of 149, the Tigers reached their target in 33.2 overs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead going into Monday’s third and final ODI in Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Captain Tamim Iqbal followed up his 44 Wednesday by scoring his 48th half century, in the process becoming the first Bangladeshi to total 1,000-plus ODI runs against the Windies, while all-rounder Shakib al Hasan made an unbeaten 43.

During his knock, Shakib became the first cricketer in the history of ODIs to score 2,500-plus runs and take 100-plus wickets at a single venue.
Earlier, the Windies fell for a paltry score as they were dismissed for 148 in 43.4 overs in the face of some disciplined bowling by the Tigers.
Off-spinner and player of the match Mehedi Hasan Miraz caused the most damage, taking four wickets conceding 25 runs in 9.4 overs, while Shakib (2/30) and left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman (2/15) were their usual economical self.
Stand-in Windies captain Jason Mohammed had won the toss and batted first but none of the batters other than Rovman Powell (41 off 66 balls) were able to put up a resistance.
