Bangladesh successfully defended seven runs in the last over as Sri Lanka finished their innings 89 for nine while chasing 92 run target

Bangladesh under 23 women team have defeated Sri Lanka under 23 team by two runs to clinch gold medal at the 13th South Asian Games Cricket Competition in Pokhara, Nepal on Sunday.

Bangladesh successfully defended seven runs in the last over bowled by pacer Jahanara Alam as Sri Lanka finished their innings 89 for nine while chasing 92 run target.

Earlier, Bangladesh post 91 runs in their 20 overs losing eight wickets. Nigar Sultana was the top scorer with 29 runs innings while Sanjida Islam and Fahima Khatun scored 15 each.
