Rangpur eye a win on the final day

In another match, Khulna Division bowlers earned a first innings lead before their batsmen extended it further against Dhaka Division, while Pinak Ghosh and Irfan Hossain starred with a century and a six wicket haul, respectively for Chittagong Division as their match against Sylhet Division started after two days of washout

Rangpur Division will look forward to clinch a win in their third round match of the National Cricket League (NCL) as their opponents Rajshahi Division finished the third day of the match with a small lead of 56 runs and only four wickets in hand. 

In another match, Khulna Division bowlers earned a first innings lead before their batsmen extended it further against Dhaka Division, while Pinak Ghosh and Irfan Hossain starred with a century and a six wicket haul, respectively for Chittagong Division as their match against Sylhet Division started after two days of washout. 

Rasjshahi v Rangpur 

Rajshahi bowlers did a great job early in the morning as they bundled out Rangpur for 274 after the batting side resumed the day on 263/6 and restricted their lead to 73 runs. Nasir Hossain, the overnight not out batsman was dismissed for 62 by Sunjamul Islam who was the most successful bowler for Rajshahi with three wickets at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground, Cox's Bazar.

In their second innings, Rasjhashi lost their first two wickets within 32 runs and although Shakhir Hossain (29) and Junaid Siddique (34) added 67 runs, they lost three wickets in the space of one run to become 100/5 before finishing the day with 121/6 on the scoreboard.

Khulna v Dhaka

Dhaka looked to score big as they resumed on 206/2 in reply to Khulna’s 371 but off-spinner Mahedi Hasan shone with four wickets while experienced Abdur Razzak took three wickets to bundle them out for 316 at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium, Cox's Bazar.

In their second innings, Khulna lost opener Rabiul Islam Robi for a duck but Anamul Haque, who scored a century in the first innings, added 106 runs with Imran Uzzaman (66) and remained not out on 61 while Tushar Imran was on 16 as Khulna finished on 145/2 at stumps. 

Sylhet v Chittagong 

Chittagong’s right arm-medium pacer Irfan Hossain returned with  phenomenal figures of 6/57 to help bundle out Sylhet for 163 at Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium, Rajshahi before Pinak Ghosh struck a swash-buckling 100 off 83 balls to help Chittagong end on 191/6 at stumps. 

Meanwhile, the match between Barisal Division and Dhaka Metropolis at Shaheed Chandu Stadium, Bogra did not see the toss, even on the third day due to inclement weather.
