“We have learned about this issue through the media. We have not been informed officially, yet. We will take necessary decisions after the board meeting,” said Nizamuddin

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed that the BCB knew nothing about the players’ strike but hoped that the matter will be resolved soon following proper discussions between both parties.

“We have learned about this issue through the media. We have not been informed officially, yet. We will take necessary decisions after the board meeting,” said Nizamuddin to the media as an immediate reaction Monday afternoon, after players had called for a strike putting forth 11-point demands.

The BCB CEO said they are not considering it as mutiny and believes everything will be resolved with proper discussion.

“Obviously players are important for us.  We are not seeing this as mutiny. Players are part of the cricket board. Anything can be solved with proper discussion,” added Nizamuddin.

“As I said, we have just been informed about their demands. We will try to resolve them as soon as possible,” he concluded.
