Dhaka’s Jahangir Alam and Rangpur’s Masud Parvez Rajon were relieved of their duties with immediate effect
Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan has expressed fury after the coaches of Dhaka and Rangpur excluded leg-spinners Jubair Hossain and Rishad Hossain from their starting XI in the second round of the National Cricket League.
Prior to the start of the second round of the country’s premier first-class tournament of the country Thursday, the participating teams were requested to play at least one leggie in their playing XI.
However, Dhaka and Rangpur did not do so during their match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, thus incurring the wrath of the BCB boss.

It was learned that the two coaches, Dhaka’s Jahangir Alam and Rangpur’s Masud Parvez Rajon, were relieved of their duties with immediate effect.
“We want our players to play, which is not happening. We have talked so much about leg-spinners, even then Rishad is not being played. Likhon (Jubair) was also not included. Why is this not happening after so many discussions?” said a furious Nazmul.
“What should we do now? This is not in our hands. For the moment we have asked the two NCL coaches to explain their reasoning. They have to play, otherwise how can they come through?” he added.
