BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Akram Khan confirmed that the BCB has decided to allow Shakib to join the CPL
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has received the No Objection certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to play in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League T20 tournament.
BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Akram Khan confirmed that the BCB has decided to allow Shakib to play in the CPL.
“BCB has given Shakib NOC to play for CPL. We are hoping that he will join the national team camp for the two-match Test series against India,” said Akram Khan to the media.
Shakib will play for Barbados Tridents in this year’s CPL. The southpaw is likely to leave for West Indies on Wednesday.

Tridents have announced that Shakib will be replacing Nepalese spinner Sandeep Lamichhane who will be leaving for national duty. Shakib will join the team ahead of their match against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at Kensington Oval on Saturday 28 September.
Tridents have played six matches so far and won two matches and sitting fourth in the points table in the six-team tournament.
Their next match is against Trinbago Knight Riders who are sitting second in the points table with nine points, on Thursday.
The final of the tournament is scheduled to take place on October 13.
Apart from Shakib, young all-rounder Afif Hossain was picked by Saint Kitts and Nevis but Afif did not get NOC from the Board as he was playing for A Team, HP team and later took part in the tri-nation T20I series.
