Bangladesh will have to survive 19.3 overs with 4 wickets in hand, if light permits

Afghanistan have defeated Bangladesh in the sole Test match in the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong Monday.

After hours of on and off rainfall, day 5 of the only Test match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan resumed at 4:20 PM local time.

Bangladesh needed to survive 18.3 overs with 4 wickets in hand. Afghanistan, on the other hand, needed 4 wickets to win.

However, the Tigers fell short as captain Shakib al Hasan gave his wicket away in the very first ball after play resumed. It was followed by a terrible decision to review a plumb LBW call by Mehedi Hasan Miraz.

Afghan captain Rashid Khan took six wickets to take his team to a historic test victory.
