The BCB XI bowler for a win had the tough task of dismissing the opponent’s innings in the remaining 14 overs of the game.

BCB XI’s opening game in the Dr (capt) KT Memorial four-day cricket Tournament against Vidarbha Cricket Association finished as A draw at Alur - 2 (Golden Oval) in Bangalore Saturday.

The game on the final day resumed with BCB XI batting on 42 for the loss of one wicket and with a 189-run lead.

The Bangladesh batsman however, could take the second innings’ score to only 175 before losing all of their wickets with opener Saif Hasan putting the most to the tally, making 47, and set a 323-run target for the opposition to chase.

Right-arm pacer-allrounder Atharva Deshpande took four wickets to lead the Vidarbha bowlers.

The BCB XI bowler for a win had the tough task of dismissing the opponent’s innings in the remaining 14 overs of the game.

But as it happened, Vidarbha lost only one wicket, to medium-pacer Ariful Haque, and had put 38 on the board before the umpire removed the bails to conclude the game.
