Tigers will surely hope that the stroke-maker continues his good run of form in upcoming matches.

Just before the World Cup, Bangladesh opener Soumya Sarkar seems to have found his desired form as he is playing confidently these days. Soumya played for Abahani Limited for Dhaka Premier League where, in the last two league matches he scored a century and double century, respectively.

He seems to have carried his form onto the international arena as well as where he struck an impressive 73 against West Indies in their first match of the tri-series. In their second match against the same opponent, Soumya scored another half century with good looking shots.

He scored 54 off 67 deliveries at Malahide on Monday featuring four fours and two sixes. His first over boundary against West Indies came off a Kemar Roach delivery which was probably the shot of the day as the left handed opener got down on his knee and timed the ball beautifully over the wide mid-off region. Although his dismissal was a soft one, he played an entertaining innings and gave Bangladesh a good start.

Tigers will surely hope that the stroke-maker continues his good run of form in upcoming matches.
