It was shivering cold out here in Clontarf Cricket Ground with 9 degrees and strong wind. Bangladesh fielders were struggling a bit while fielding first since everyone’s hands were in their trousers’ pocket during much of the fielding session. Wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim probably had a slight advantage with his keeping gloves on. But the experienced wicketkeeper dropped two catches in the middle overs of the innings. Those chances were not dolly but such chances could cost heavily in international cricket. One of the chances was dropped in the 23rd over as S Hope (batting on 53 then) got a life off Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s bowling. Another one was dropped in the 28th over as Roston Chase (batting on 20 then) survived against Shakib al Hasan’s spin. Meanwhile in the slog overs, Shakib took a stunner of a catch diving on his left on the boundary in the 48th over. Despite that, all in all, it was a tough day for the fielders.
