Middle-order batsman Mahmudullah underwent a 40-minute long batting session at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Saturday.
Mahmudullah batted after almost 21 days as he was only confined to gym and running sessions in order to recover from a Grade 3 tear in the shoulder.
The 33-year old had returned with the injury from New Zealand last month.
“There was no discomfort. I was able to bat with 100% effort. There is no pain, no trouble at all,” said Mahmudullah to the media.
BCB physio Baizid Khan was present when Mahmudullah batted in the nets.
Following medical analysis it was found that the injury is a Grade 3 tear, which normally does not trouble the batsmen much if they play competitive cricket.https://t.co/lXU0Q8BtG0#MAHMUDULLAH #BANGLADESHCRICKET #BANGLADESH #CRICKET #BCBTIGERS #BCB #TIGERS #WORLDCUPCRICKET #ICC

Baizid was happy with progress of the Bangladesh batsman.
Although he will continue batting, the off-spinner will need time to recuperate enough to bowl.
The chief trouble Mahmudullah is facing due to the injury is bowling and throwing the ball.
Concerns were raised with Mahmudullah’s availability for the World Cup 2019 after medical reports revealed the cricketer was suffering from a Grade 3 tear in the shoulder.
Luckily, the injury does not trouble the batsman much, thus the right-handed batter has been able to return to action with the willow.
