Prime Bank Cricket Club defeated Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by 29 runs in a run fest via the Duckworth–Lewis method at BKSP, Savar.

Sheikh Jamal won the toss and put Prime Bank on to bat but that decision seemed to backfire as captain Anamul Haque and Abhimanyu Easwaran scored centuries to take the score to 199/2.

Anamul departed in the first ball of the 38th over scoring 101 runs off 120 deliveries with eight boundaries.

Easwaran, an Indian recruit scored 133 off 126 balls with 10 boundaries and one six.

With a solid platform in place, Ariful Haque came in for some late over fireworks scoring 67 off 32 balls with four boundaries and three sixes to take Prime Bank’s score to 344/6 in their 50 overs.

In reply, Sheikh Jamal lost three quick wickets with Nahidul Islam snuffing out two wickets to be bogged down to 59/3 in the 12th over.

From there Nasir Hossain and captain Nurul Hasan formed a timely and much required partnership to get Shiekh Jamal back on track before Nasir departed after scoring 76.

Nurul Hasan (54*) and Tanbir Hayder took the score to 206/4 after 37.1 overs before rain came and no further play was possible.
