University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh beat Daffodil International University by eight wickets in Sunday's first match of the 12th ULAB Fair Play Cup.
Asked to bat first, DIU posted a modest 103 for the loss of seven wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, ULAB reached their destination with ease, player of the match Anjum Ahmed Jesi top-scoring with 54 from 35 balls.

A total of 10 universities are taking part in the tournament – ULAB, Brac, DIU, BUBT, SU, UU, Independent University Bangladesh, United International University, Prime University and European University.
Twenty four matches will be played in the tournament, with the semi-finals taking place on March 28, and the final slated for April 1.
The champion will receive Tk50,000, and the runners-up side will pocket Tk30,000.
