Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited conceded their second Dhaka Premier League defeat as they lost to Brothers Union by seven wickets in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Monday.
Brothers elected to field first and soon got success by taking the wicket of Sheikh Jamal opener Imtiaz Hossain in the second over.
The first hour of the match belonged to Brothers as at one stage, the score was six for three after nine overs.
Later, small partnerships enabled Sheikh Jamal to accumulate runs on the scoreboard but losing wickets regularly dented their fightback.
Eventually, they were all-out for 180 in 47.5 overs.
Elias Sunny was the top-scorer as the left-hander scored 42 runs off 64 balls, while Rakin Ahmed scored 34.
Mehedi Hasan and Shakhawat Hossain took three wickets apiece for Brothers.
