Bangladesh team management has included batsman Soumya Sarkar in the Test squad for the upcoming three-match series against New Zealand.
Soumya played the recently concluded three-ODI series against the Kiwis, and will now join the side for the Tests.
ODI captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza, all-rounder Saifuddin, batsman Sabbir Rahman and pacemen Rubel Hossain and Shafiul Islam will return home following the conclusion of the 50-over leg of the tour.
Regular Test skipper Shakib al Hasan got injured during the BPL final earlier this month and later sat out the three-ODI series.

It seems Soumya is his like-for-like replacement for the New Zealand Tests.
The Tigers were swept 3-0 in the ODIs, with Soumya scoring nought, 22 and 30 in the three games.
Soumya last played a Test against the West Indies last year in November-December, and made 19 in the first innings.
The first of three Tests between the Tigers and the Kiwis begins next Thursday at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
