England opener Jason Roy is the latest overseas player to be joining the sixth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League as the business end of the tournament approaches.

He will be playing for the Sylhet Sixers and will be a timely addition with David Warner potentially out injured for the rest of the tournament.

The right-handed opener will remain with the Sylhet squad until the end of the tournament.

The 28-year old has played 188 T20s scoring 4815 runs at an impressive strike rate of over 146.

With a big win over defending champion Rangpur Riders under their belt, Sylhet will look to continue their winning run against table topper Dhaka Dynamites in their next match Friday in Sylhet.
