Bangladesh left-arm paceman Mustafizur Rahman has been named by Cricket Australia in its ODI team of the year for 2018.
The Fizz bagged 29 wickets in 18 ODI innings this year, at an average of 21.72.
The CA especially took into account Mustafizur’s performance in the Asia Cup in the UAE where he notched four wickets in a crucial clash with Pakistan, and two against India in the final.
The team comprises four Indians – Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah – three Englishmen – Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and Jos Buttler – and one each from the West Indies (Shimron Hetmyer), Sri Lanka (Thisara Perera) and Afghanistan (Rashid Khan).
