South Zone's Anamul, Al-Amin tons flatten North Zone

Anamul kept his composure and saw off the day with a patient knock scoring 13 boundaries in his 283-ball unbeaten knock

At Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium of Chittagong, national discard Anamul Haque made 155 and Al-Amin scored a century before retiring hurt to help Prime Bank South Zone accumulate 407/5 replying to BCB North Zone’s 293.

Resuming on 21/1, South lost two more wickets in the morning to be reduced to 57/3 but opener Anamul stayed strong at the crease and got a great partner in Al-Amin to take the ascendency before the latter was retired hurt for 110. 

Al-Amin was aggressive in his innings as he faced 119 balls hitting 11 fours and three sixes.

South continued the onslaught as Mahedi Hasan came in and started to play some big shots. 

He was finally dismissed for 84 off 76 balls and though he missed his ton, the side reached 352/4 with Anamul still at the other end.

Ebadat Hossain and Sanjamul Islam grabbed two wickets apiece for North but they have an uphill battle facing them as South still have five wickets intact, including Anamul, and the lead has already reached a sizable proportion of 114 runs.
