The fourth and final day began with South Zone still batting in their first innings on 136/3 with Fazle Mahmud on 57 and Tushar Imran on 29 at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.

They took the score to 150 before Tushar became the first to be dismissed by Farhad Reza for 40.

Wickets then started to fall regularly as Nurul Hasan went for a duck with the score on 151/5 and then Fazle also departed, top-scoring with 69 when he was bowled by Taijul Islam.

Two more wickets – Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Abdur Razzak – quickly fell as they both scored ducks and with the score on 175/8, before South Zone captain Razzak declared.

East Zone would then bat with flair and panache as they scored 159/5 before declaring after 21.5 overs thanks to quick-fire fifties from opener Rony Talukdar (58 off 39 balls) and Mohammad Ashraful (54 off 37 balls).

For South Zone, it was Mahedi Hasan who was the pick of the bowlers with 3/60.

Set a target of 247 runs with around 30 overs remaining in the day, South Zone were in trouble when they lost half of their wickets on 69/5 after 12.1 overs.

Opener Anamul Haque was the only batsman to score freely till then, making 32 off 27 deliveries.

From there, Nurul Hasan (23) and Mahedi (39) came to the rescue to ensure no more wickets were lost and the game was a draw.
