The day started with North Zone’s first innings on 136/2 with Junaid Siddique (70 not out) and Naeem Islam (62 not out) batting.
The partnership finally ended with the score on 172 when Naeem was dismissed by Kamrul Islam Rabbi for 83.
Junaid carried on and brought up his 16th first-class century but eventually fell for 112.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhiman Ghosh then formed a partnership with Ziaur Rahman and took the score past 300.
Dhiman departed for 51 with the score on 335/6 and Ziaur’s was the last wicket to fall before the end of play for 90.
Veteran South Zone bowler Abdur Razzak took both wickets and so far has figure of 3/121.
North Zone ended the day on 382/7, and lead by 53 runs.
With one day remaining, and both teams’ second innings left to play, the match is headed towards a draw at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
