Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim were honoured right after the fifth and final day’s play of the second Test match against Zimbabwe at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka
Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim and opening batsman Tamim Iqbal were accorded a reception by the BCB in Mirpur Thursday after joining the 10,000-run club across the three formats.
All-rounder Shakib al Hasan, who is also a part of the 10,000-run club for the Tigers across all three formats, was not present during the reception due to personal reasons.
The three cricketers were rewarded with special white blazers and a gold-medal crest, containing the title “10K Club Members”.
Tamim became the first ever Bangladeshi to reach the 10,000-run club last year.

Shakib joined the club in March last year while Mushfiq became the latest Bangladeshi to reach 10,000 runs in international cricket during the second ODI against Zimbabwe last month in Chittagong.
BCB cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan said, “They are three of our most important cricketers. They scored 10,000 runs on behalf of the country. This is not only a matter of pride for them, but also for the whole country. We took this initiative to honour them. The young players will be inspired by them."
Tamim and Mushfiq were honoured right after the fifth and final day’s play of the second Test match against Zimbabwe at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Former Bangladesh captain Naimur Rahman helped Tamim put on the white blazer while Akram did the same with Mushfiq.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan then presented Tamim and Mushfiq with the crests.
