Bangladesh opening batsman Imrul Kayes enjoyed a brilliant three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe as the Tigers registered a whitewash over the hapless African nation.

Imrul scored 144, 90 and 115 in the three ODIs and was adjudged man of the series. In the process, he became the highest Bangladeshi scorer in a three-ODI series, with 349 runs, surpassing opener Tamim Iqbal’s 312 against Pakistan.

Imrul could have added another feather to his cap in the series, had he scored 12 runs more.

If that had happened then he could have joined Pakistan’s Babar Azam as the record-holder of the most runs in a three-ODI series.
